SleepScore Labs, today announced scientific data validating that a new sleep product, the Dreampad, can improve sleep. The study found that sleeping with a Dreampad helped users feel more relaxed, increased their duration of deep sleep, and decreased the number of awakenings during the night.

The Dreampad is a pillow fitted with patented sound technology that is helpful for both falling asleep and staying asleep. Music and sound waves from the Dreampad app travel via your body’s natural conductivity, drifting you off to sleep…and only you can hear it.

“Being comfortable when in bed is essential to good sleep” said Roy Raymann, Ph.D., Vice President of Sleep Science and Scientific Affairs, SleepScore Labs. “With the Dreampad, users have the ability to significantly improve their sleep in an effortless way and enjoy the soothing properties of sound without disturbing their bed partner.”

SleepScore Labs built its unique ecosystem of curated sleep products and services to help consumers find effective sleep solutions based on their own specific sleep patterns.

“Our top priority is to help the world sleep better, and through the SleepScore Labs validation research studies, we are focused on helping people discover simple, yet effective products that actually can improve the quality of their sleep,” said Colin Lawlor, CEO of SleepScore Labs. “In examining the Dreampad, we have gathered significant data supporting the effectiveness of the product in enriching users’ sleep quality.”

In the scientific validation study, Dreampads were tested across multiple users across almost 400 nights, while capturing their sleep using SleepScore technology by ResMed. The data revealed the following findings:

  • 84 percent of users felt Dreampad helped them relax and take their mind off distracting thoughts that interfere with sleep.
  • 92 percent of study participants would recommend the Dreampad to their family or close friends
  • 84 percent of study participants intend to continue using the Dreampad in the future

“Our product validation in SleepScore Labs’ ecosystem acts as a testimony to the effectiveness of the Dreampad in helping people relax and fall asleep,” said Randall Redfield, founder, and CEO at Dreampad. “The results of this study demonstrate the powerful sleep-inducing capabilities of the Dreampad, and we are thrilled about the opportunity to share its benefits with an even broader audience.”

SleepScore Labs is backed by 12 years of comprehensive research and development, including more than seven million nights of objective sleep data. SleepScore’s sleep measurement technology is powered by ResMed and has been validated extensively against polysomnography (PSG) – the gold standard in sleep measurement.

The Dreampad is also supported by research at Columbia University, where a published study showed it is able to help those with stress-related sleep difficulties.
