Drew Copeland, Director of Operations, Sleep Program at Mount Sinai Health System in New York City posted this protocol for Repurposing bi-level ventilators for use with intubated patients while minimizing risk to health care workers during insufficient supply of conventional ventilation for patients with COVID-19 on his LinkedIn Page.

“Very proud to share this protocol. Our team at #mountsinai worked around the clock to produce this and I hope that it can help any hospital or health system that is worried about their supply of #ventilators during this #covid19 crisis (Thank you #elonmusk for your generous donation!). Feel free to message me if you have questions–I am happy to answer them. I also pray that solutions like this will not be needed–Stay Home and Stay Safe.”
