BreakAway Media Group LLC, a digital media publisher located in suburban Philadelphia, today announces an editorial alliance between Sleep Lab Magazine, a bimonthly publication that reaches more than 16,000 sleep providers, and the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT), an independent, nonprofit certification board that cultivates professional and ethical standards for sleep health professionals by providing the leading internationally recognized credential in sleep technology—the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist™ (RPSGT) credential.

“The BRPT is thrilled to share news and information relevant to the readership of  Sleep Lab Magazine through this new partnership with BreakAway Media Group,” says Andrea Ramberg, MS, CCSH, RPSGT, president of the BRPT. “As long-time readers of RTSleepWorld and Sleep Lab, we’re honored to provide a bi-monthly column to reach an even broader audience of loyal readers.”

The RPSGT credential is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), complying with their stringent standards for a professional certification program. The BRPT has credentialed over 22,000 RPSGTs in the U.S., Canada, and 32 countries globally since the organization’s first credentialing exam in 1979. Every five years, the BRPT must apply to have the credential reaccredited.

“As we further our mission to educate sleep health professionals on the latest industry research, clinical updates, and technologies, we are privileged to work with an organization committed to upholding the highest standards in credentialing, certification, and education,” says Michael DiDomenico, publisher of Sleep Lab Magazine. “With excitement, we welcome the BRPT’s regular editorial contributions that will inform and inspire our readers.”
