BreakAway Media Group LLC, a digital media publisher located in suburban Philadelphia and the producer of RTSleepWorld.com and the Philadelphia Sleep Conference, today announces an editorial alliance between Sleep Lab Magazine, a bimonthly publication that reaches more than 16,000 sleep providers, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), the only non-profit national professional society dedicated exclusively to the practice of dental sleep medicine. The AADSM is the leading national organization representing dentists who treat sleep-disordered breathing, which includes obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and snoring, with oral appliance therapy (OAT).
“Addressing the unmet burden of sleep apnea requires a multifaceted, multipronged and interdisciplinary approach,” says Mitchell Levine, DMD, AADSM President, ABDSM Diplomate. Through this editorial alliance, BreakAway Media Group and the AADSM furthers the critical role that dentists must play. We look forward to contributing to the breadth of knowledge in the space by offering research and clinical expertise from AADSM-qualified dentists.”

The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine was founded in 1991 by a small group of dentists who were interested in studying, researching and practicing dental sleep medicine. Two decades later, the organization now known as the AADSM has grown to more than 3,000 members.
“As we further our mission to educate sleep health professionals on the latest industry research, clinical updates, and technologies, we are privileged to work with an organization committed to upholding the highest standards in education, professional development, practice management resources, advocacy, and research,” says Michael DiDomenico, publisher of Sleep Lab Magazine. “With excitement, we welcome the AADSM’s regular editorial contributions that will inform and inspire our readers.”
